Overview:
Lighthouse Lab Services is partnering with a respected hospital system in Danville, PA, to find a skilled Analytical Specialist for their Toxicology Department . This role offers a consistent day shift schedule and the opportunity to be a key part of a collaborative clinical laboratory team.
As an Analytical Specialist, you will be responsible for the preparation, analysis, and interpretation of toxicological samples using state-of-the-art instrumentation. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong analytical chemistry or toxicology backgrounds looking to apply their skills in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform qualitative and quantitative analysis of biological specimens for drugs of abuse, therapeutic drugs, and other toxicological substances
Operate and maintain advanced laboratory instrumentation, including LC-MS/MS and GC-MS systems
Validate and troubleshoot analytical methods in accordance with laboratory and regulatory standards
Ensure accuracy and integrity of test results through appropriate QC/QA measures
Prepare reagents, standards, and controls; maintain inventory of laboratory supplies
Assist with laboratory inspections and ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and hospital-specific regulations
Collaborate with clinical and laboratory staff to interpret and report results
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all procedures and results
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Toxicology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field required
1–3 years of experience in a toxicology or clinical laboratory preferred
Experience with LC-MS/MS strongly preferred
Knowledge of laboratory safety and regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP, etc.)
Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills
