Our client Maintenance Custodian to join their team. The ideal candidate will have Attention to Detail, dependability, adaptability and flexibility which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Maintenance Custodian

Location: Manistee, MI

Pay Range: $16.15 an hour 

What’s the Job?

• Monitors the operation of heating and air conditioning units, checking filters, adding boiler chemicals, trouble-shooting problems, changing belts and motors, etc. 
• Replaces light ballasts, motors, pumps, replacing outlets and light switches and changes fuses.
• Performs a variety of carpentry tasks such as repairing door frames, building walls and construction of storage and shelving units.
• Performs plumbing repairs such unplugging toilets, sinks and sanitary sewer lines, repairs leaks and installs new fixtures.
• Inspects buildings to ensure proper custodial care 

What’s Needed?

• High School Diploma or equivalent and two years of experience in maintenance and repair of building and mechanical systems
• Knowledge of general building repair, maintenance, HVAC systems repair.
• Knowledge of building trades including, but not limited to, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, construction, masonry, welding, and diagnosing and solving mechanical, electrical, and plumbing problems.
• Knowledge and skill in the use of a variety of power and hand tools used for the repair, installation, and maintenance of County buildings and property.
• Skills in effectively communicating ideas and concepts orally and in writing.
