Job Description

Summary: Provide professional nursing care tailored to patients in a general rehabilitation setting, following established healthcare policies. Take on charge nurse duties when assigned, ensuring smooth and effective patient care delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess patients to determine care needs and develop appropriate care plans.
• Organize, implement, and evaluate patient care activities.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for patients and staff.
• Keep accurate and up-to-date patient care records.
• Administer medications as prescribed by physicians.
• Recognize and respond promptly to life-threatening situations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Monitor care quality using outcome-based indicators.
• Participate actively in cost containment and accurate patient service billing.
• Adapt care plans to meet age-specific physiological and psychosocial needs.
• Respect and support patients' cultural and spiritual beliefs within medical guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.

Licensure: Current Registered Nurse licensure in a Compact state or the relevant regional licensure.

Experience: No prior experience required; new graduates welcome.

Skills and Abilities: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Effective organizational and leadership capabilities. Knowledge of age-specific physiological, psychosocial, developmental, and spiritual patient needs.

Physical Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively, including speech and auditory acuity. Visual acuity for patient observation. Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting. Potential exposure to blood or infectious materials.

Certifications: BLS certification from the American Heart Association and active RN license.
