Job Summary: The Sheet Metal Fabricator will be detail oriented and reliable with hands-on experience operating brake presses, CNC machines, plasma cutters, fiber lasers, and other fabrication equipment. Skilled in reading blueprints, performing precise measurements, and producing quality metal components to exact specifications. Adept at maintaining machinery, adhering to safety standards, and collaborating with engineers and team members to meet production goals. Brings strong problem-solving skills, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to accuracy, safety, and continuous learning.

**PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a Welding position**

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 
  • Install, align, and lock/flip specified punches, dies, or other fixtures in rams or bed of brake press, and using hand tools such as dial calipers.
  • Assemble lifts, positions, and remove work pieces from machinery. 
  • Operate and maintain machinery and equipment, such as a Brake Sheet, Plasma Cutter, a Fiber Laser, and Notcher.
  • Operate CNC machines and other automated equipment to perform tasks with precision.
  • Study shop drawings, blueprints, work orders and production schedules to determine
  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, and other team members to achieve project goals.
  • Lay-out and examine metal stock or work pieces to be processed to ensure that specifications are met. 
  • Clean the machines. 
  • Knowledge of jobsite safety and ability to always ensure a safe workplace.
REQUIREMENTS: 
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • 3 - 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or construction environment (preferred).
  • 3+ years' experience with operating press brake/shear (preferred)
  • An understanding of proper use and cleaning of machines and tools.
  • Experience using roll tables (preferred).
  • Experience operating a forklift (preferred).
  • Good math skills and the knowledge to read a tape measure.
  • Experience reading and applying a decimal chart as well as calculating circumference and bend radius is needed to be successful in this role. 
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Highly detail oriented, watching for quality and correct measurements with each piece. 
  • Safely perform tasks in an efficient and productive and timely manner.
  • Work in a team environment where you are reliable, responsible, and highly dependable. 
  • Ability to read and understand tape measures and blueprints. 
  • Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized environment, promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
  • Ability to work in a heavy manufacturing environment requiring the employee to stand, stoop, kneel, or crouch throughout an 8-to-10-hour day.  
  • Strength to carry product, equipment, and tools up to 50 pounds and push or pull product up to 100 pounds. 
  • Ability to work in both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
