What you will do:

The Utilization Review (UR) Nurse performs UR and Payor management activities, which include prospective and/or retrospective chart and clinical systems review to measure UR issues that affect reimbursement for the patient’s hospital stay or visit. Responsibilities include medical record review, communication with third party payors, third party payor initial denials, and special projects which are coordinated and directed by the UR Payor Management Team Leader. May design and initiate special projects as supervised by Manager, Utilization Management.

What you will need:

  1. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  2. BSN is required.
  3. Minimum of three (3) years of relevant clinical experience required, of which demonstrated abilities in the areas of discharge planning, utilization, and quality management is highly preferred .
  4. Experience in two or more clinical areas are preferred.

Salary Range: Minimum 53.47/hour - Maximum 53.47/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
