Job Description

Our client, a public sector education organization is seeking a Web Designer. This Intermediate-level role is responsible for the design, development, and creation of high-quality websites, standalone interactives, and learning assets across moderately to complex projects. The developer will utilize strong skills in HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery, along with a solid understanding of JSON for data integration and GIT for version control.



Essential Position Functions:

• Intermediate professional level role. Works on moderately complex, to complex projects that require a solid understanding of Web design and layout. Must have a strong understanding of HTML5, CSS, JSON, and GIT repository utilization. Must adhere to development standards, ensuring maintainability of code.
• This position demands a commitment to development standards and code maintainability, strong written and verbal communication, and the ability to efficiently provide troubleshooting and resolution for 3rd tier support issues.
• Success requires active collaboration with Graphic Designers, Product Managers, and Engineering Staff to deliver innovative solutions that enhance the end-user experience.

Requirements:
The most crucial technical skills and technologies required:

• HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery
• Solid understanding and utilization of JSON files
• Utilization of a standard IDE such as WebStorm, Komodo, Coda, Visual Studio, Eclipse, Sublime Text or other

Other Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
• 3-5 years developing and supporting custom enterprise website solutions with advanced experience with client-side technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, DHTML and others
• Experience with Git Version Control Systems
• Preferred experience with JSON and DOM
• Preferred experience with cross browser and cross platform compatibility issues (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, PC, Mac, etc.)
• Preferred experience with Integrated Development Environments (IDE) and/or editors such as WebStorm, Komodo, Coda, Visual Studio, Eclipse, Sublime Text or others
• Preferred experience with AJAX, XML
• Preferred experience React, Angular, Vue
