Job Title: Mobile Journeyman Electrician
What this job involves:
This position focuses on maintaining, installing, and troubleshooting all aspects of electrical infrastructure across multiple facilities. You'll operate, inspect, and maintain electrical equipment and systems to achieve optimal efficiency and longevity while ensuring energy-efficient, safe operations with minimal downtime. This role requires technical expertise in electrical systems plus basic knowledge of other trades to successfully complete varied work assignments.
Your day-to-day tasks will include:
• Plan and layout assembly, installation, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical apparatus, control equipment, and industrial power distribution systems
• Troubleshoot and repair faulty wiring, motors, and electrical equipment while diagnosing complex electrical issues
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematic drawings for project execution
• Interact with clients and maintenance staff to determine safe, compliant approaches to job completion
• Document work accurately in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) in real-time
• Maintain work areas and equipment in safe, efficient, and clean operating conditions
• Perform on-call duties, overtime work, and emergency repairs as required
• Assist with other trades work and incidental duties necessary to complete job assignments
• Strictly adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and OSHA standards
Desired experience and technical skills:
Requirements:
• Valid state driver's license and Electrician Journeyman's/State License required
• High school diploma or state equivalent
• Minimum 4 years electrical trade school/training with 5+ years electrical work experience
• Knowledge of OSHA, NEC, NFPA standards and local codes
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with professional attitude
• Physical ability to lift 80 lbs, work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and work from heights
• Willingness to travel within the United States up to 25% with reasonable notice
• Availability for 24-hour call-in work and ability to obtain additional licenses as needed
Preferred: • Knowledge of overall MEP system design and application
• Experience with work order management and CMMS technology
• Commercial and industrial facilities service experience
• Certifications in electric vehicle chargers, IR scanning, and solar power systems
• Experience with battery systems (solar and UPS), planned electrical shutdowns, and critical environments like data centers
